Axel's help
Last week Axel, a professional camera man, came into our lesson and gave us advice on our preliminary videos and how to improve them. We also filmed a few more shots to show how the shots should have looked. These looked much better, as the main images in the shot were central, showing the they were most important part of the shot.
One main aspect I know I have to improve now, from Axels help, would be putting the object and characters central to the frame, so that frame space isn't wasted. In addition, one big mistake I made was not filming enough footage to get what I wanted. As a consequence my film sequence jumped from one character standing up to sitting down.
Overall Axel's visit was very helpful as he helped to identify the problems and allow us to fix them for our film opening.
